Round 1. Mock Draft 1.0

The NFL Combine is underway. A lot of mock drafts will be changing by next week based off how the players perform in their interview, time trials, and personal workouts. They will continue to change all the way up to the day of the draft. The Cleveland Browns draft the best player available while the Chicago Bears try to find their franchise quarterback.

  1. Cleveland Browns: Myles Garrett (DE from Texas A&M)- Browns have a lot of holes on their roster and select the best player available. If the Browns trade down, the team coming up to the number one spot will most likely still select Myles Garrett.
  2. San Francisco 49ers: Jonathon Allen (DE from Alabama)- Like the Browns, the 49ers have a lot of holes in their roster. They select the best player available and hope to build a dynamic defense.
  3. Chicago Bears: Mitch Trubisky (QB from North Carolina)- The Bears do not have their franchise quarterback and waste no time by snagging the top QB available.
  4. Jacksonville Jaguars: Soloman Thomas (DE from Stanford)- The Jaguars may be switching to a 4-3 defense and need more depth up-front. Makes sense to snag a pass rusher early in a draft stocked with them.
  5. Tennessee Titans (via Los Angeles Rams): Mike Williams (WR from Clemson)- Marcus Mariota gets his number one receiver he desperately needs.
  6. New York Jets: Marshon Lattimore (CB from Ohio State)- With the release of Darrelle Revis, look for the Jets to fill that hole early.
  7. Los Angeles Chargers: Malik Hooker (S. from Ohio State)-The Chargers pick best player available which also fills a big need in their defense. Malik gets to join his former Ohio State teammate Joey Bosa.
  8. Carolina Panthers: Leonard Fournette (RB from LSU)- Panthers get their dynamic running-back they were missing all of last year. Cam and Fournette would benefit from each other similar to the Cowboys duo of Dak and Zeke.
  9. Cincinnati Bengals: Reuben Foster (LB from Alabama)- Bengals look to build their defense in this defensive heavy draft.
  10. Buffalo Bills: Sidney Jones (CB from Washington)- Bills try to find their number one corner-back.
  11. New Orleans Saints: Jamal Adams (S. from LSU)- The Saints recently released Jarius Bryd and may look to fill his spot with the best player still on the board. This would be a no-brainer for the Saints if Adams can fall into their lap.
  12. Cleveland Browns (via Philadelphia Eagles): Derek Barnett (DE from Tennessee)- This is where the draft can get really tricky. No-one knows what the Browns will ever do. They could look to trade this pick for Jimmy Garoppolo or trade down to get more draft picks and select their QB later in the draft. Also, would not be surprised to see them continue to take best player available and build their defense around Barnett and Myles Garrett.
  13. Arizona Cardinals: Corey Davis (WR from Western Michigan)- With the possibility of Larry Fitzgerald retiring this offseason or next, the Cardinals will look to get their WR1.
  14. Indianapolis Colts: Taco Charlton (DE from Michigan)- The Colts need help protecting their franchise QB but with a draft that lacks sure fire OL’s; they will look to bolster their defense that lacked energy and pressure on the opposing QB.
  15. Philadelphia Eagles (via Minnesota Vikings): John Ross (WR from Washington)- The Eagles grab Carson Wentz some help with a speedy, play-making type of wide-receiver.
  16. Baltimore Ravens: Teez Tabor (CB from Florida)
  17. Washington Redskins: Takkarist McKinley (DE from UCLA)
  18. Tennessee Titans: Quincy Wilson (CB from Florida)
  19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Budda Baker (S. from Washington)
  20. Denver Broncos: Ryan Ramczyk (T. from Wisconsin)
  21. Detroit Lions: Garett Bolles (OT from Utah)
  22. Miami Dolphins: Cam Robinson (OT from Alabama)
  23. New York Giants: DeShuan Watson (QB from Clemson)
  24. Oakland Raiders: Tre’Davious White (CB from LSU)
  25. Houston Texans: Forrest Lamp (OG from Western Kentucky)
  26.  Seattle Seahawks: Marlon Humphrey (CB from Alabama)
  27. Kansas City Chiefs: Jabrill Peppers (SS from Michigan)
  28. Dallas Cowboys: O.J. Howard (TE from Alabama)
  29. Green Bay Packers: Dalvin Cook (RB from Florida St.)
  30. Pittsburgh Steelers: Tim Williams (OLB from Alabama)
  31. Atlanta Falcons: Charles Harris (DE from Missouri)
  32. New England Patriots: Zach Cunningham (LB from Vanderbilt)
